Dyslexia

The subject of SRD has often been controversial, and many theories have been put forward as to the causes, but what is most likely is that there are many factors that influence the ability to read and that vision is only one of them.

Research has shown that young people showing SRD have a higher incidence of certain visual problems than normal readers. As a result an examination procedure to identify these problems, and methods to correct or relieve the symptoms that they cause.

Visual assessment and treatment cannot cure SRD, or suddenly turn a poor reader into a normal reader. It aims to make the visualisation of text as clear and comfortable as possible so that it does not hinder the learning process.
