NHS entitlement
You are entitled to a sight test paid for by the NHS if:
- You have Diabetes
- You have Glaucoma
- You are 60 or over
- You have a first degree relative that has been diagnosed with Glaucoma AND are over 40 years old.
- You are under 16*
- You are under 19 AND in full time education*
- You are registered blind or partially sighted.
- You are on Income support, Income based jobseekers allowance, pension guarantee credit, named on a tax credit certificate, or you hold an valid HC2 certificate.*
- You have been prescribed complex lenses at the last sight test.*
* these catergories of patient may also qualify for a NHS voucher towards the cost of spectacles IF there has been a change in prescription OR a update is required due to fair wear and tear.
