Eye examinations

The health of your eyes is important to you, so it's crucial to us that we deliver thorough eye examinations that test not only your sight but assess the full health of your eyes to ensure you enjoy your best possible vision.

What happens in an eye test?

We have a comprehensive eye examination that typically lasts 30 minutes and will be carried out by one of our qualified optometrists.

We'll check your vision and determine whether any vision correction is needed. We'll also check your binocular visual function. Depending on the circumstances, you might need to have your visual fields checked too. Your intraocular pressure will also be measured. You'll get a thorough explanation of what happened during the exam and you'll be given recommendations on how to improve your eye health.

We have a routine for every patient, but we also like to treat each person as an individual. Our optometrists take the time to personalise each eye examination, ensuring that you receive the best care possible.

Our technology

As part of our commitment to provide you with the very highest standard of eyecare we are able to carry out retinal imaging as part of your eye examination.

There are two types of retinal imaging that we offer. These are:

  • Digital Retinal Photography

  • Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)

To learn more about this technology and the benefits they offer, read more retinal imaging.

What happens after an eye examination?

We will always explain the results of the various assessments and you will always be given every opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

If any vision correction is required, we will create a prescription for you. The recommendations given to you at the end of the eye examination will take several factors into account, including your occupation, workplace environment, lifestyle and any leisure pursuits you may have. This is so that we can meet your visual needs in the best and most effective way possible.
